"Wissie" was what the children called their Grandmother Wilson. She was famous for her baking, and a Wissie Cake was a favorite treat at home, at church, and in the neighborhood. Now, Wissie's son Floyd and daughter-in-law Margaret are doing the baking, but the down home goodness is still there.
The bakery in Virginia Beach turns out dozens of cakes, loaves of bread, cookies, macaroons, pecan squares, and chocolate. We also do chicken salad, barbeque, and pimento cheese spread. Our products are sold locally and throughout Virginia and Maryland at craft and gift shows and other festivals. Look for our calender to see where we will be.
